Dear Angelenos,
As the relentless wildfires continue to ravage our beloved city, we at DoLA are committed to using our platform to stand in solidarity with every member of our community affected by this crisis. Our focus remains on providing vital resources and up-to-date information to help you navigate these challenging times.
Before we dive into the resources, we want to express our profound gratitude to the LA Fire Department, LA Department of Water & Power, CAL FIRE, first responders, and all the brave individuals working tirelessly to combat this emergency. Your courage and dedication are the backbone of our city's resilience.

RIGHT NOW
🏡 Stay Indoors, Stay Off The Roads
A poor air quality advisory is in effect for much of LA County.
If you can, stay home and indoors as much as possible. Track the regional Air Quality Index (AQI) using AirNow.Gov or the IQAir App. If you must go outside, wear a mask (ideally N95). First responders and those who need to evacuate need to move across town as quickly as possible, so stay off the roads if you can.
💧 Conserve Water
The LAFD is relying on our urban water supply to help extinguish these fires.
A 48-hour water boil advisory has been put in place for the Pacific Palisades (zip code 90272) by the LADWP. Pasadena Water & Power Department has also issued a "Do-Not-Drink Water Notification" as of 1/8.
