LA would be nothing without the immigrant communities who call this city home. Our hearts are heavy today, yet we’re proud to see firsthand how our fellow Angelenos peacefully protect one another, stand up for more vulnerable members of our community, and make headlines.
In addition to our usual fun event recommendations (having fun is a form of protest), we pledge to continue sharing non-violent protest opportunities and resources to navigate this turbulent time. You can always “reply” to this email with protest tips, events, mutual aid opportunities, and anything else you think our readers should know about.
This is my city. This is your city. This is our city.
Stay vigilant, stay safe, and most of all, remember that all Americans deserve equal protection under the law, regardless of immigration status. No human being is “illegal.”
